Personality[]
Kathy is an audiophile, being first introduced as a radio obsessive and later being deeply interested in tapes.
In RealLife ReImagined, Kathy is friendly and open. It is clear that she is an obsessive when it comes to the secret station, but she is self aware when it comes to the strangeness of the community and the station.
When Kathy reappears in season 3, she is superficially cheerful but clearly much more intense, having shed any pretense that she is interested in anything except the occult. Chris describes her as "weird as hell," and "really goddamn creepy."
It is insinuated several times that Kathy is a virgin.
Physical Appearance[]
In her RealLife Reimagined episode, Kathy Quinn is in her mid-30s but is said to look substantially younger. She is described as being "unassuming", looking like "a librarian who you'd want to grab a gin and tonic with".
In season 3, she has shaved her hair, Chris noting she looks "hot as hell", and "a bit like Charlize Theron in Mad Max", and, in her pursuit of the esoteric arts, has mangled her pinkie finger beyond usability by repeatedly breaking it. It is unclear how much time has passed; Season 3 is set sometime in 2017, and while her RLR episode was published around July-October 2016, it was likely conducted months or even years earlier.

Finding the Radio Station[]
Kathy believed she found the secret station whilst crying about her and her partner, Tori's, breakup. While listening to a dead signal, music began playing. Kathy described the music's effect as making her feel as if she was "lost in its world. Like [she] an explorer," and that she "was being explored too."

- Audio Technology Knowledge: Kathy has decent knowledge of radio equipment, and can fix broken cassettes.
- Sticky Hand Divination: A favourite ritual of Kathy's, using a special sticky hand, Kathy can find hidden objects. The short ritual includes offering fluids, breaking and resetting a finger, and then concentrating to find what you are looking for. The person giving the fluid may need to connected to the item in some way. As it takes fluids, it may be connected to a Leviathan.
