Caroline is a major character in Season 2.

Personality

Suit

Suit is, by design, hollow and soulless, and states they have no personality. As time progresses, bits of Caroline's original personality begin to show through, and they begin expressing various sentiments about Rat, Dan and The City.

Physical Appearance

She is not described in any detail, though is shorter than Dan, and implied to be taller than Rat. Their fingers were cut off and replaced with those of LMG's various middle managers. The left ring finger belongs to Cynthia Closer, and is the first to go.

History

Pre-Season 2

Prior to Season 2, Caroline was a prominent member of The Cult, likely head or major member of her individual cell. Little else is know about her actions or personality during this period. Sometime in 2016, between the opening of The Visser Portal and being captured by LMG, Caroline employs the help of a mercenary to sabotage an LMG expedition into the city. Shortly after, sometime before August, Caroline is captured, and modified by Rat, her soul hollowed out and fingers replaced, to act as a body for the LMG middle managers. Sometime after August 2016, Suit and Rat pass through the Visser portal and settle into the outpost.

Season 2

[UNFINISHED] In the end, feeling she has become warped by what she has so long sought to destroy, and unable to stand the thought, she commits assisted suicide, with the help of Dromen.

Relationships

Daniel Powell

Dan has a lot of sympathy for Suit and is often checking on them. While Rat insists Suit is an "it", Dan takes offence to this, using "she" and "they", and protesting when Rat is unkind to her. Dan tries to look out for them, rushing over to help when hearing her "malfunction" (sing), trying to make conversation, and asking them to leave the outpost with him. As Caroline begins to surface, Dan returns her name, and Suit seeks out Dan's help to remove her finger, to release her in part from LMG. After this point, Caroline looks out for Dan as well. She understands Dan is gentle by nature, not trusting that he'd be able to use The Boatwoman's knife, and scalding him for his kindness to the people who've wronged him. Despite Caroline's hatred for "abominations", and all things weird (including herself), she never puts any of this on Dan, even requesting Dromen find some way to help him.

Rat

Rat treats Suit as a fairly successful project, and more an object than a person, insisting to Dan they are an "it". Suit, while to the benefit of LMG's middle management, is stated to have been Rat's own experiment. Rat is fairly pleased with his work, enjoying seeing Suit be "filled" with another soul, and using her for activities such as Dan's operation.

Rat and Caroline appear to have some sort of unspoken history, though there are no details available about it. Rat is very much aware of Caroline's cult activities, and Caroline knows full well that Rat is like he is by his own choices. Rat is not especially fond of her, but does not dislike her in the same way she detests him, instead mostly curious to how what he's done has affected her.

Clara

Clara has virtually no interactions with Suit, and her few with Caroline seem to have been shaped by her friendship with Dan, automatically assuming Caroline is a person, and acting to support her. They do not interact much, but Clara is always willing to help, giving some of her clothes for Caroline's bleeding hand, taking directions from her without question approaching the Pendras House, and affixing the knife at her request. Clara and Caroline both detest the city for it's weirdness. Caroline seems to have identified Clara as the most willing to assist in murder.

Cynthia Closer

Cynthia enjoys getting to use Suit's body, and gets frequent reports on the outpost status from them. She apparently considers them to be a reliable source of information, but little more then a "body-bag".

Trivia

• While her surname is listed in the scripts as Levi, (further confirmed by Marc ), it is spoken as some variant of Lesta/Lester in the podcast. Lester is Rat's surname, so it was often previously speculated they were related somehow.
