Alexa is Melody's long-time partner and later wife, and a minor character in all three main seasons of Archive 81.
Personality[]
Alexa is sweet, cheeky and cheerful. Despite not being weird herself, and actively avoiding becoming so, she has a good handle on weird stuff, facing The Messenger with a great deal of determination, and greeting Dan, Caroline, and Rat cheerily when they come to visit.
Her attitude toward people varies dramatically depending on whether she feels can trust them, being well-humoured and gentle with Dan, Clara, Caroline, and Rat, but closed off and hostile with Chad and Static Man.
She is willing to do a lot to be with, and keep Melody safe, including killing Chad, and venturing into the unknown without a second thought to be with her. She has hired Static Man at some point, implying she has had more people killed.
Physical Appearance[]
Alexa is never described in any detail. She is in her 20s in season 1, and after joining Melody in The City, stops aging physically.
History[]
Alexa and Melody begin dating in the August of 1992, and have moved in together by May of 1994. After Melody's disappearance in September 1994, Alexa attempted her own investigation, to no success, unable to even identify who Melody actually worked for. In the years following, Melody and Alexa begun talking in their dreams and Melody eventually struck a bargain with The Messenger in order to bring Alexa to The City. This bargain is completed some time between May and August of 1998, when Alexa is interviewed by Chad. Humming The Messenger's song, she allowed it to reshape and possess Chad's body, and after warning her of the risk, it brought her to Melody.
The two built themselves a life in The City, along with the former residents of Visser. They decide they may as well be married, and although not legal in any capacity, there is nobody stopping it, either. Interestingly, Alexa takes Melody's surname. The two have a house in The City with a lovely garden. Some time in late 2016 or early 2017, they are visited by Dan, Clara, Caroline and Rat, and Alexa keeps Rat and Clara company in the garden, showing Clara around while Melody talks to Dan and Caroline.
Some time after March 2017, Alexa receives a phone call from Static Man, which she is less than impressed about. She reluctantly agrees to tell Melody that Chris and Nicholas need her help once again, and only for Dan's benefit.

Melody Pendras[]
Alexa and Melody started dating in August of 1992, and are now married, still very much in love. Alexa is incredibly comfortable around her wife, becoming playful, cheeky, and flirtatious: traits she doesn't show around anyone else. They are both very supportive and protective of each other.
While working on her project at Visser, Melody sometimes gets help from Alexa when calibrating her recording equipment, or tells her a bit about what's going on, and they eat breakfast together, Melody is still in her pyjamas. They kiss each other goodbye. Alexa worries about Melody's stress and overworking, and when Melody vanishes, sets out researching and checking in with various offices, to find any information about what has happened to her. They eventually begin talking in their dreams, and Melody strikes a bargain with The Messenger, Alexa joining her, despite learning how dangerous it potentially be, goes along without another thought.
Since nobody can stop them, they decide to get married, Alexa taking Melody's surname. They are always looking out for each other, in both big and small ways; Melody is constantly cautious not to expose Alexa to too much weirdness, and Alexa has employed the likes of Static Man to prevent them from being bothered. She's also developed tea to help ease her wife's headaches. After over 20 years together, they still appear to maintain the same, soft, dedicated, and loving dynamic.
Static Man[]
At some point, Alexa hired Static Man, presumably to get rid of someone. He still has her number, and she is less than impressed to receive a phone call from him. Alexa is hostile to people she feels she can't trust, so he has clearly not left a good impression with her. He seems somewhat less intimidated by her than by Melody.

- Alexa has a kill count.
- Alexa is the only person Dan meets who does not to react to or acknowledge his weirdness in any way.
- As of Season 3, Melody and Alexa have been together for 25 years, by earth time.
- Alexa seems familiar with magic, and although she avoids Leviathan-related weirdness, may be something of a sorcerer herself.
- She makes terrible tea. Melody refuses to tell her this, drinking it anyway. It is, however, good for headaches.
- Alexa owns a mobile phone, and one with some kind of connection to Earth, as she is able to take calls and send texts.
- She likes sesame bagels with cream cheese, and grapefruit.
